Kia ora, and welcome to Waka Tours. We are excited to offer you authentic Māori history tours of the wider Whitianga area. All of our guides are members of the Ngāti Hei iwi/tribe and have grown up and live locally.
We offer custom designed tours incorporating any interests you may have and experiences you desire. For example, visiting producers of local goods, including Manuka Honey, Manuka (Tea tree) Soap and Oils, an experience with horses or any other activities your local guide can recommend.
We can also help with finding accommodation and transportation, just ring or email us to discuss your needs. We look forward to you joining us on our journey as Kaitiaki (Caretakers/Guardians of the land and sea).
