We were the first to bring an animal attraction to Whitianga ! Whether staying at our BED & Breakfast or Camp Ground you can visit OVER 400 birds housed in 45 aviaries PLUS all the Farm Park animals. Feed the Lorikeets inside our huge walk-in aviary and be amazed at their antics. Singing and dancing with Schmacko, Minty, Ray, George & Lala is a great favourite with all age groups. Emus, Kunekune pigs, goats, mini horses, alpacas, donkeys, geese, rare breed ducks, Reptiles galore, Turtles, Tortoises, NZ native geckos, too many to list here. Wander past the Western Village and feed the eels and walk back to the park via the Kids' Walkway. Ask Lala one of our Corellas to perform her many tricks or. While kids are climbing the Fort adults can relax at the Station Cafe or perhaps you would prefer to picnic or use our free BBQ's. NOT TO BE MISSED - train rides. Yes ours IS a real train. 71/4" gauge track around the park. 2014 was our 10th anniversary and to celebrate we opened a 6 hole silly mini putt course. We no longer house Wallabies. Instead we have built a mega Cockatoo Flight. where breeding has already been a success with our first chick fledging in summer 2018
There is far too much to list here, so hop in the car and come prepared! Why not stay in our unit, a cabin or in your tent or motor home. Stay a few nights and relax. PLEASE NOTE. FROM MAY TO OCTOBER it might pay to give us a call to make sure the train is working and the park is open. Although we advertise open 7 days, there are days during winter when we may not be open. Our coffee kiosk is also dependent on weather conditions and staff availability
