Harbourside Holiday Park is opposite a small estuary beach. You can launch a kayak here and explore the harbour and the waterways. We are just 450 metres from the centre of town- just an easy stroll to the restaurants, cafes, craft shops and local surf beach.
Our family-friendly park has lovely grounds with beautiful mature trees. The powered and non-powered campsites are large, sheltered and level with easy access and many have their own water taps and wastewater drains. For those who are not camping, there is we a range of well-maintained accommodation.
Our standard cabins sleep four. These compact cabins are best suited to adults and their own children who wish to share the kitchen and bathroom facilities with other campers.
We have one-roomed kitchen cabins, which sleep either two or four guests. We also have two kitchen cabins that sleep up to six guests, These larger cabins have a separate bunk room with four bunk beds. All guests in cabins share the communal bathroom facilities with other campers.
Our two newly refurbished studio tourist flats have their own flat-screen TVs, kitchen and ensuite, with toilet, shower and vanity. There is a small deck or patio outside each one with its own outdoor setting for two.
The two large two-bedroomed tourist flats have their own lounge and flat-screen TV and dining area. The kitchens and bathrooms have recently been refurbished. They too have a deck with an outdoor table and a couple of chairs.
All of our facilities are clean and well-maintained and include a seasonal swimming pool, a small adventure playground, kayaks for hire, two new push-button BBQs in an outdoor covered dining area, portable picnic tables, indoor dining room/lounge, TV room, communal kitchen, and laundry with new coin-operated appliances, clean ablutions, boat and car wash, fish cleaning facilities, and a dump station. Boat parking is available. Please let us know if you will be bringing your boat.
Complimentary 100MB of WiFi is given with each booking so that you can check your email. Wireless Internet is provided by The Internet Kiosk Specialist (IKS) . Plans are available for as little as $5 for 10GB, and you can share data on several devices.
Choose Harbourside Holiday Park as the base for your family holiday if you are wanting to spend a few days exploring the Coromandel Peninsula. You can take a day trip and spend some time exploring Cathedral Cove, Gemstone Bay, and Hahei. Hot Water Beach (where you can dig yourself your own hot pool at low tide) is in the same direction (about 35 minutes south of Whitianga by car).
