Black Magic Charters operates Friulana which is a 48ft ex. West Australian cray boat and the ex. Team NZ Americas Cup Tow boat.
She has been recently refitted & refurbished and is equiped with the latest underwater video camera which is capable of reaching depths of up tp 100M.
Friulana has a large deck area with a large opening stern door for Divers and this allows plenty of room for hauling dinghys and kayaks aboard.
She is surveyed for 20 day passengers and can accomodate 8 persons + crew overnight.
Black Magic Charters cater for fishing, diving and sceinic cruises and can also transport groups of kayak enthusiasts to other areas for day or overnight stays.

Escapade NZ is a 15.19 metre Riviera launch surveyed for 20 passengers, sleeps 6 passengers plus 2 crew.
Escapade NZ has been the top Mercury Bay Game Fishing Club charter vessel for the last 5 consecutive years 2004-2009, targeting Snapper, Kingfish, Hapuka, Tuna and Marlin. Escapade NZ has caught more than 100 Marlin of which most have been tagged and released (angler’s choice), with the heaviest weighed being an incredible 302 kgs.
Escapade NZ is based in Whitianga Marina and fishes mostly between Great Barrier Island and Mayor Island, and in the Far North, from mid March and April, including 3 Kings Islands. Leilani II was built in Tauranga in 1978, she is of a Pelin, Cape Brett Design, and constructed of triple skinned Kauri, which is one of the strongest types of construction for this type of hull. Leilani II will cater to your needs on the water whether it be a scenic cruise, a diving or gamefishing charter, a corporate excursion or a team building exercise.
The crew on Leilani had a very sucessful season gamefishing in the 2004-05 landing New Zealands largest Stripped Marlin which could possibly be a world record if nothing larger is caught prior to the season ending. They also caught the New Zealand record Hapuka.

Craig specialsises in straylining which in his opinion produces larger snapper
and more chances of kingfish. Many people have
been unfamiliar with this technique but with the
right instructions and gear, have had a marine
encounter that can often only be offered on overnight
trips. R & R is Under Safe Ship Management surveyed
to carry 6 people plus skipper. She is an 8 metre
walkaround design. Ideal for bottom or Marlin
& Tuna sport fishing. With a top speed of 30 knots,
cruise at 25 knots, we have more fishing time,
less travel. Bait & Rods are supplied. Toilet

Wild Goose is a Randel 46ft with 32ft of covered fishing deck and has a cruise speed of 12 knots. Equipped with the latest safety gear including Oxygen. Two hot showers, 230 volt power, a flush toilet and a BBQ. Surveyed for 20 pax plus 3 crew for the area East Cape to North Cape. ALL types of fishing are catered for with tackle, bait supplied if required. There is lots of storage for dive bottles and gear, with a fold down boarding platform making easy access to and from the water. Scenic trips can be designed to meet your needs. From viewing Hahei Marine Reserve and Cathedral Cove, to out and around the mercury Bay Island and anywhere in between.
