Catch Charters operates a 10.2 metre (33ft) Senator mono hull called Grey Ghost which is based in the Whitianga Marina. Owner/Skipper Garry Buchanan runs a friendly, efficent operation under Safe Ship Management visiting all the top fishing and diving spots around the Mercury Islands.  Full day, or half day trips are structured to suit your requirements, enabling you to maximise your day of pleasure.  Garry and partner Lee also manage Peninsula Motel and can offer packages for Fishing, diving and accommodation.

Situated at the Base of Cathedral Cove and only 5 minutes from Hot Water Beach, Hahei is the perfect spot to try the Discover Scuba Dive - no experience necessary! Just allow 3 hours for tuition and the Dive! With the Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve and the awesome pinnacles and volcanic coastline only 5-10 minutes boat ride, certified divers can book on our specialised dive boat, either 9:30am trip or 1:30pm trip, and still have time to catch low tide. Quality PADI courses, from Open Water and Refresher to Divemaster. Snorkelers welcome on the boat trips or call into our store and grab your snorkel gear and head into Gemstone Bay, on the way to the Cove, and enjoy the large snapper, huge crayfish and abundance of fish on the Snorkel Trail. Our store on Hahei Beach Road offers rental snorkel gear, hire bikes, fishing rods, boogie boards, SCUBA, full sales, service, air fills, cylinder tests, LPG fills, bait.
