X-MAS HOLIDAYS - our rides for all ages and confidence levels
All our rides run from Boxing Day Dec 26th to the end of the school holidays

No experience necessary, all safety equipment provided. We go as fast or as slow as you like.
All summer we create a carnival atmosphere with beach volleyball, music, soccer, pois, a place to hang out
and watch the passing parade. Experience a state of the art water craft that skims through the water at speeds
of up to 40 km/h. We customize rides so that the water is enjoyed safely by people of all ages and confidence levels.

Thrill Ride ($10 )
An exciting fast ride for those who are confident on the water and like a bit of speed without the spill or we can go slow and peaceful, to let you enjoy the view.

Kiddies Cruise
($10 and  1parent free)
A very gentle and safe ride to build confidence.

An adult may accompany any child free of charge
 

CATHEDRAL COVE

The cheapest Cathedral Cove Trip in town:

1.5 hour guided sea tour to Cathedral Cove. Awesome scenery and spectacular fun. We go as fast or as slow as you like. Stop at magical Cathedral Cove for a swim and a walk. Snacks provided. We love this trip.

SCENIC TOUR

Scenic tour of Mercury Bay and a long thrill ride in one - a must for all newcomers and great for families, an adventure to remember.

See Front Beach, Flaxmill Bay, Shakespeare Cliff, Lonely Bay, Cooks Beach and more. Learn our history while viewing spectacular sights. Swim at the hollow cave at Cooks Beach. We go as fast or as slow as you like.

The water’s answer to the roller coaster. Fast on the straight, fast on the corners, see if you can hang on! Awesome fun for families, groups and all kids at heart.


HALF AND FULL DAY BANANA BOAT HIRE
Excellent for schools, groups, social clubs, parties. A brilliant fun half or full day activity.

Up to xmas day and from 1st Feb, bookings required

We set up the volleyball net and music on the beach. Your choice of rides in any combinations and any confidence levels.
As many rides as you want. (see other rides for ideas) Groups love the excitement and fun of riding the Banana Boat
while working together as a team. If there are 10 people or less we can go on a personalized tour of your choice
with the Banana Boat. Talk to us: we are flexible can do parties from other venues if needed.

Steve and Kali have been operating the Banana Boat Rides and Tours for over 10 years. Kali, a swimming instructor for
over 20 years, is Mercury Bay’s most experienced guide on the water. We are passionate about the beauty of the coast,
the islands, and the sea. Our aim is to share our passion with other people while having as much fun as we possibly can.
We love to travel and really enjoy meeting new people. Dolphin and orca sightings possible.
